Navan Places to go: Jackal Navan
Discover Jackal, Navan’s alternative pub with wood-fired pizzas, signature cocktails, and vibrant vibes. A must-visit in Meath!
Introduction
The moment I entered the Jackal I could see immediately that it was not just another pub in Navan, despite being part of a family of well-established pubs in Dublin. Every detail was thought out to convey the same vibe as the other places, bringing that “I’ve been here before” feeling, clearly the result of well-executed branding. Located in the heart of Navan, the place has an excellent indoor and outdoor space, and I must confess that in addition to the cocktails, pizzas, music, the beer garden and a separate attraction on summer days.
Stay with me in this short breakdown of one of the most visited pubs in Navan.

Section 1: The Vibe and Atmosphere
The interior of Jackal is gorgeous! The mix of vibrant colours and retro touches is everywhere, from the paintings on the walls to the super cosy and comfortable seating inside, making you feel right at home. Whether you’re at the bar or one of the tables, you’ll feel comfortable!
The beer garden is one of those places where you instantly feel at home, whether you’re a regular or a newbie. The candles on the table, in an orange container, cast a warm glow over the wooden tables where groups share pizzas or toast with cocktails.
Section 2: What’s on Offer
Jackal’s menu is as bold as its atmosphere. Their wood-fired pizzas, starting at €13.50 (Marguerita), are a crowd-pleaser—think mortadella with pistachio or spicy pepperoni with a perfect crust. There are also vegan and vegetarian pizza options but there are no gluten-free options! Perhaps the only thing that can be eaten gluten-free is the house salad at the moment.
The chain’s signature cocktails, like the Jackal Whiskey Sour €13.50, are the place to be, combining unique flavours with a dose of theatrics. The venue also offers live music nights – not so frequent – and an amazing playlist, keeping the energy high. On Thursdays, there is always a quiz, which is super fun and has prizes at the end.
Jackal is open from Wednesday to Sunday, but you can check the opening hours at: @jackal_navan on Instagram and book a table. Whether you want a quick snack or a cocktail, there is something for everyone.

“The moment I stepped into Jackal, I knew it wasn’t just another Navan pub. The vibrant colors, retro vibes, and that cozy beer garden glowing with candlelight make you feel right at home—whether you’re sipping a cocktail or sharing a pizza with friends.”
Section 3: Why Visit?
Jackal is more than just a pub – it is a Navan hotspot where you can relax or start a night out. Right in the town centre, (10 Market Square, Townparks, Navan, Co. Meath, C15 KH92), it is super easy to find and stays open until late (until 1 am on weekends).
Fun fact: The Jackal is part of the Animal Collective chain, with brothers pubs like Bonobo, Kodiak and Caribou in Dublin, each named after a unique animal to reflect their bold, quirky spirit.
Whether you are a foodie, music lover or simply someone looking for good vibes, Jackal has everything you need.

Conclusion
Jackal is Navan’s go-to for pizza, cocktails, and unforgettable nights. Next time you’re in town, swing by for a slice and soak in the vibe.
